CONCERT VIDEO FROM THE FRANCISCAN MONASTERY OF THE HOLY LAND, WASHINGTON DC
Our USA Tour began in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where we took part in the Palestrina 500 Festival, celebrating the quincentenary of the composer’s birth. In Detroit the Schola gave a concert at Old St Mary’s, one of the most beautiful churches in the city.
In New York City the Schola revisited three beautiful churches where we sang during our last East Coast tour in 2017: we sang for Sunday High Mass at the Shrine of the Holy Innocents and gave a concert at St Patrick’s Cathedral; we also sang Mass at St Vincent Ferrer for the Feast of St Mary Magdalen.
In Washington DC we sang a concert at the Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land (see video above), and for Fr Benjamin Schulte’s Ordination to the Priesthood at the Washington Oratory. We also sang Mass and a Choral Recital at the Basilica of the National Shrine. Our tour concluded with High Mass at the Washington Oratory.
